CAMELBACK STUDIO TOUR - NOVEMBER 8-9, 2025
Desert Japandi wood sculpture. In person. November 8-9.
I'm showing at Stop #3 on the Camelback Studio Tour, a private residence in Phoenix where three artists' work comes together for one weekend.
You'll see my vessels. Solid mesquite, burl, and carob turned on the lathe. Turquoise kintsugi filling cracks that most turners would cut around. Pieces where the wood won the argument and the outcome is better for it. Work that took weeks to months. Some you've seen online. Some you haven't.
Touch the grain that survived decades of desert heat. Ask questions about wabi-sabi, process, materials, why I do it this way instead of the easier way. See what collaboration with nature looks like when nature has veto power.
You'll also see sculpture by Kevin Caron and paintings by Carol McDonald. Three different practices, one location, worth the visit.
Interior designers: Bring your project specs. Custom commissions available.
Collectors: Available work on-site.

No performance. No presentation. Just the work, honest answers, and a chance to see what Desert Japandi actually means in three dimensions.
